This 30 second presenter clip was done as part of my course and a practice in television presenting. Although it is not one of my ambitions to be a television presenter, I put most of my effort into writing a clear, informative script and in the location and overall look of the clip. The red coat was chosen because of how it complimented the muted tones of the School of English garden. Additionally, the clip had to be filmed at Queen’s University. I designed it as an intro clip to a longer package, ideally 4-5 minutes in length.
I chose elements such as the red coat and the outside garden of the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s University because of how they worked together visually. Additionally, the piece to camera had to be recorded on Queen’s property, so this location was the easiest to work in logically.
